It’s a meteor.

It’s a brontosaurus coprolite (petrified dinosaur poo).

First impressions can be wrong.

The large, black, oblong, knobby object in the photo is, in fact, a whopper fungus, a 1-pound black truffle, to be precise.

“Dr. Charles Lefevre has done a lot of research, and I asked him and sent him a picture,” Lindstedt said, “and he said, ‘I don’t know if it’s a world record, but it doesn’t get much bigger.’”
