Truffle Cultivation

In the last two decades, the prized culinary truffles of Europe have been successfully grown in North America. Through inoculated seedlings, truffle tree orchards, known as truffieres, have grown in number and productivity. Oregon’s climate is ideally suited to the famous French Burgundy and Périgord truffles, and the Oregon Truffle Festival has fostered a community of growers both nationally and internationally.
