Matthew Lightner

Born in Norfolk, Nebraska, Matthew Lightner trained at Noma in Copenhagen, Denmark before winning accolades at Castagna in Portland, Oregon. From there he went on to open Atera in New York City where he garnered two Michelin stars and three starts by the New York Times. In 2010, Lightner was named one of the “Best New Chefs in America” by Food & Wine. Most recently, Lightner was the executive chef at Ninebark in Napa, California before it closed this summer.
