Bob Pfaff has been a passionate amateur chef since 1979, when he and his wife, Suzanne, moved to Paris as newlyweds. During their three years in France, they were inspired by the everyday quality of the food and wine, particularly country restaurants with estate gardens. While working in finance, Bob continued taking culinary classes, reading cookbooks and learning new techniques through trial and error. In parallel with his love of food, Bob also developed a keen interest in growing his own food and is now a Master Gardner. For the past three years he has invested most of his time expanding the gardens and helping to assemble the talented culinary team Left Coast has today. Through a combination of teamwork and Bob’s culinary vision, Left Coast was recently named as one of the Top 18 restaurants in the Willamette Valley by the PDX Eater as well as having our wood fired pizzas featured on the cover of Oregon Wine Press.
