Oregon wine and truffles: sheer bliss! We celebrate this singular pairing and explore the shared terroir of wine and truffles during our Yamhill weekend in the northern Willamette Valley. Taking place February 14-16, 2020, the Yamhill weekend offers an immersive package for a limited number of truffle aficionados, as well as an action-packed schedule of à la carte events, including cooking classes and our annual Fresh Truffle Marketplace.

The Terroir of Truffles
The Terroir of Truffles explores the shared terroir of Oregon truffles and wine in the northern Willamette Valley. The weekend begins with a sparkling wine reception featuring truffles, caviar and oysters (Treasures of Earth and Sea), followed by an intimate dining event full of truffle-infused dishes (Food is Love!). On Saturday, weekend ticket holders meet for a truffle foray in the woods with trained truffle dogs. A decadent, multi-course winery luncheon follows the truffle hunt, paired with world class Willamette Valley Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. On Saturday night, top chefs convene at Abbey Road Farm to prepare truffled small plates for a dynamic, walk-around dinner, paired with wines and live music by The Junebugs, a high-energy pop punk outfit. The weekend bookends with our popular Fresh Truffle Marketplace on Sunday.

Fall in love with Oregon truffles at this intimate dining event full of truffle-infused dishes and live entertainment. Sample truffle-infused creations, fresh oysters, fondue and delicious wine and cocktails, all with the live music backdrop of Gypsy Moon. An unforgettable evening in wine country! This event is included in Terroir of Truffles package.
Shaved & Infused at Abbey Road Farm
Indulge in inspired truffle-infused small plates by top chefs and sample the wines of the Abbey Road Farm winemaking collective at this dynamic, walk-around dinner. The Junebugs, a high-energy pop punk outfit will play for this fun evening in wine country.
Newberg Fresh Truffle Marketplace
Experience Oregon’s vast, wintertime bounty at the Newberg Fresh Truffle Marketplace! Our most popular event year after year features a host of truffled opportunities, from cooking demonstrations to a truffle dog demonstration. Our Marketplace also includes and an all-day lecture series, fresh native truffles for sale from trusted foragers and plenty of regional wines and artisan foods to sample and take home.

Sunday Supper - Valley Commissary
Choose this offering at a McMinnville favorite, opening late just to be part of our series this year. Reception wine included, additional pairing flight available upon request.
Bringing it Home 2-Day Cooking Class
Over the course of two days, students at Bringing it Home will forage for Oregon truffles and take their finds into the kitchen for two hands-on cooking classes on Friday and Saturday. The two-day truffle intensive also includes breakfast and lunch on Saturday.
Truffles and Terroir with Rowan Jacobsen
This interactive experience will take a closer look at truffle varieties from Oregon and Europe, the stages of ripeness, and will compare four singular agricultural products that reflect the land in which they are grown: truffles, wine, coffee, and chocolate. Tickets are limited and sold with admission to the Marketplace with wine tasting and glass. The workshop will start promptly at 10 am on Sunday.
Sunday Supper - Joel Palmer House
Choose this supper at an iconic local restaurant known for its cooking with truffles and mushrooms. Wine pairings from their extensive cellar included.
Travel & Lodging
For guests participating in the Terroir of Truffles weekend experience, or the Truffles at the Table 2 Day Cooking Class, OTF transportation for the truffle forays and winery luncheons on Saturday will be staged at the Chehalem Cultural Center in Newberg, our festival hub, which is also the site of Festival Registration. Details on departure and return times will be provided in advance of your arrival. On the Friday and Saturday forays we are guests on private land by invitation only, and as such, no private vehicles are permitted.
Shuttle service between the festival hub at the CCC is available for weekend guests staying with several of our lodging partners in the Newberg/Dundee area. Details on shuttle times and locations are provided when you check in with registration on Friday February 14th. Please see our Travel & Lodging page for updates.
